Kimberley Process Certification for Rough Diamonds

Any Diamonds traded from a Country to another, must be accompanied by a Kimberley Process Certificate from the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, which basically certifies that the diamonds are from non-conflict areas, and of non-criminal origins.

Both the Importing and Exporting Countries must be members of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme.

An evaluation of the rough diamonds will be made and a tax will be levied in the Country of Origin.
